12 Things You Didn't Know About Sting
Did you know about the impressive records 'The Icon' Sting currently holds?

In just under a month's time, the legendary in-ring career of one of the greatest to ever do it will finally reach its end.
Over the course of nearly four decades within this chaotic industry, Sting has seen it all and done it all twice over.
He's worked with just about every major promotion in wrestling history, collided with some of the true icons of every era he's bumped in, and produced more classic moments than just about anyone the business has ever known.
And he's somehow continued to do that last part right up to the point of his Revolution 2024 retirement.
Truly, 'The Icon' is a one of one.
But even with the beloved 'Stinger' being a major part of all things wrestling for so damn long, there are still probably more than a few things you do not know about the face-painted legend.
Like exactly which impressive wrestling records he holds, or the real reasons behind why he refused to do certain things in his illustrious career.
So, just before the still very much smashing it megastar calls it a day in-between the ropes, it's time to take a closer look at the fascinating details you probably didn't know about Stiiiiiiiiiing!
12. He's Had Some Pretty Legendary Tag Partners Over The Decades

With the AEW legend set to bring his glittering wrasslin' spell to an end in a tag encounter at Revolution 2024, there's probably no better place to start this list than with the star-studded collection of faces Sting has teamed with over the years.
Before All Elite daredevil Darby Allin joined forces with 'The Icon', you were no doubt aware of the WCW legend's time teaming alongside the likes of Lex Luger and Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat. But you may not have realised just how many other legends of the past this adored veteran has formed teams with over the years.
Back in the '80s, 'Stinger' and the 'American Dream' himself Dusty Rhodes challenged for NWA Tag Team Championship gold together. He'd also tag with long-time rival Ric Flair at various points, teamed with a pre-Ultimate Warrior Jim "Justice" Hellwig, and worked together with the iconic Great Muta occasionally.
Put simply, Sting's impressive AEW tag team record alongside Darby shouldn't come as too much of a surprise.
This is the same bloke who has held tag titles in numerous different promotions with everyone from Kurt Angle to Kevin Nash, folks.
