13 Times The Joker & Harley Quinn Inspired Wrestlers

11. Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio's mask itself is iconic in and of itself, but over the decades, he's always managed to find new ways to change up the color scheme and make tweaks to the design for special occasions. Often, that involves taking another pop culture character and incorporating elements of their design into his own to create a hybrid of the two.

Mysterio is an equal opportunity cosplayer, but as someone who has had comics and cartoons about himself, he has a tendency to frequently adapt ring gear to reference the superhero genre.

This has extended to characters like Captain America, The Flash, Wolverine and the Spider-Man villain Mysterio (as not doing that play on words would be a major missed opportunity), but it's clear one of his favorites to play around with is The Joker.

Back at WrestleMania 25, Mysterio came out sporting a wig, mask and gear that referenced Heath Ledger's incarnation of The Harlequin of Hate in his Intercontinental Championship match against John "Bradshaw" Layfield.

Ten years later, at WWE Survivor Series 2019, Mysterio would switch it up and style his outfit to reference Joaquin Phoenix's version of The Joker.

Of course, Mysterio has also had ring gear inspired by Batman, just to play both sides of that feud!
