13 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (Jun 3)

4. Taz & Cage Swim With The Sharks

Brian Cage Jon Moxley

Thinking about the years of great Taz promos we have missed out on with the guy being stuck in a commentary booth for much of the past two decades is pretty depressing, really. The guy is money on the stick and proved it again last night, coming off real and authentic as he warned Jon Moxley of what awaits at Fyter Fest, cursing him for having the temerity to snicker and giggle at Brian Cage's latest display of violence.

"You need to get your head on right before it gets taken off," Taz said, leading into his catchphrases. Moxley then entered through the crowd to return fire. Showing no fear in the face of 'The Machine' and his mouthpiece, Mox claimed he was smiling because the thought of going to war with Cage got him going, put the challenger over huge, then built himself up, saying his foes were in over their heads and swimming with a different breed of shark.

Both voices were strong and assertive, with Moxley pulling the classic champion's routine of bigging the opponent up without compromised his own credibility. He's such a sick, effortless bad*ss at the moment, and the Cage match is going to rule.
