2019 was an incredible year for Impact Wrestling.

There's no doubting that. Granted, the year was one of the biggest in professional wrestling history as a whole, with the launch of All Elite Wrestling, so it's perhaps been slightly harder for fans who weren't watching regularly to notice the continued resurrection of Impact. For those who did watch on a consistent basis, they will have been continuously pleased with the company's product.

During every episode of the weekly television show and the four truly outstanding pay-per-views they promoted, Impact Wrestling slowly rose back up the ranks of wrestling. They may never get back to the number two position they held earlier on in the decade due to the sheer quantity of other go-to companies, but they're well on their way back into consideration for being one of the greatest when it comes to in-ring action.

For this column, we'll be taking a look at Impact throughout 2019 from a wider picture, as opposed to delving deep into the stories. It would be entirely possible to go through the last 12 months story by story, but it would be slightly difficult to rank them in terms of their importance towards the year Impact had overall.

2020 is already looking like another memorable year for Impact, with a history-making main event at Hard to Kill. Before then, let's get to it for the final time in 2019...
