13 Ups & 4 Downs For Impact Wrestling In 2019
Downs...
4. Nothing Special
Aside from the weekly shows and their quarterly pay-per-views, Impact also put out various specials via Impact Plus (and often via Twitch too), some of which are in association with partner promotions. Sure, you can get some adequate action from these shows, but what's the point in them?
What happens on these shows rarely ever carries over to the 'main' product Impact are putting out, and the cards are typically topped up by various names from the indies not even signed to the company. There have been a few instances where the specials have mattered, such as when The North captured the World Tag Team Championships just two days before Slammiversary, but there needs to be far more of these instances going forward.
Seeing as there are so many of these specials held each year, it just makes sense to have them actually matter in the long-run. Otherwise, they just get easily forgotten about.
