In what has to go down as the least anticipated NXT TakeOver in recent memory, the powers that be in WWE's third brand, rather miraculously considering the lack of momentum and star power on show, pulled the proverbial rabbit from the hat once again. After what has to be considered a bit of a slow burning couple of opening matches, there were plenty of talking points on what potentially could be a pivotal night.

NXT builds from TakeOver to TakeOver, and while past stretches between specials have seen some must see moments take place, the road to San Antonio was bereft of anything substantial to really get our teeth in to - I think. I've got to be honest here, the 'fan' footage of Kassius Ohno's sensational return aside, I've not watched a second of NXT television since Samoa Joe toppled Shinsuke Nakamura to become Champion for a second time. And while the pre-match packages were perfectly put together, they only went to confirm that I wouldn't have been better off spending my Wednesday nights in front of my WWE Network the past couple of months.

Nevertheless, everything just comes together perfectly for Triple H's baby whenever 'TakeOver' is added to the title of the show, and while this won't match TakeOvers Brooklyn and Toronto in terms of how much they are revered by the NXT Universe, it was more than serviceable as WrestleMania season starts to gather pace. A fun night of high quality wrestling with a number of key talking points; that's what we'll go with here.

Here are all the WTF Moments from a hot, hot night in San Antonio...

The thing we don't want to know is what that unnamed person, sometimes Vince McMahon himself for main roster shows, is telling our beloved narrators before it comes out of their mouths.

Just before the start of the opening match, we heard a mysterious voice say "he wasn't asking him, he was telling him" in reference to Eric Young offering Tye Dillinger a Sanity jacket once again - what a silly hook this is for a match by the way. 'You won't wear my jacket?! LET'S DUEL!'

Anyway, a second after that unnamed voice stopped talking, Percy Watson copied him beat for beat. A switch had been flicked when it shouldn't have as somebody in the production tuck's heart undoubtedly skipped a beat or two...
