Poor Byron Saxton never gets an easy ride, and the punching bag of the Raw and SmackDown announce teams even found himself under fire from WWE's new guy this week. Mauro Ranallo briefly dropped his unbiased nice-guy act for a brief moment at the start of the show, pretending to forget Byron's name before laughing the whole thing off. Byron sold the whole thing well (or was just genuinely annoyed), while Lawler's reaction was a little less serious... It's hard to see Byron ever become accepted by the fans if even his broadcast colleagues are ripping into him on a regular basis, but hopefully he can somehow turn things around.
