15 Former NFL Players In Vince McMahon's XFL

14. Cameron Artis-Payne

Another young player joining Hau'oli Kikaha with the Dallas Renegades is running back Cameron Artis-Payne. Taken by the Panthers with pick 174 in the 2015 draft, Artis-Payne enjoyed four seasons in Carolina, the most successful of which was his first.

The running back appeared in seven regular season games, playing a small role in his team finishing in first place in the NFC. Artis-Payne even made an appearance in the playoffs on the way to the Superbowl, where he was listed as inactive as the Panthers ultimately lost. Three years and 25 games later, the Auburn alum was cut.

The Panthers loss however, was the Dallas Renegades' gain, as they selected the running back with their third overall pick. Competing with Austin Walter, an undrafted rookie in the 2019 NFL draft, Artis-Payne will likely be Dallas' main running weapon come the opening of the season.
