Fans have been complaining for years about the lack of a good tag team division in wrestling. WWE has, on occasion, given fans hope that things might improve but it has always turned out be a false start. Vince McMahon is reportedly not a huge fan of tag teams, instead focusing his energy on finding the next John Cena. There's a theory that tag team wrestling doesn't draw but that's nonsense. In the 1980s and into the 90s, tag team matches could do big business if built correctly. The NWA/WCW were especially good at building up tag team matches enough to do big business. Then again, WCW had a lot of great tag teams on their books so maybe it was a little easier for them. If you want to feel even more depressed about the current state of tag team wrestling, just take a look at some of the phenomenal teams that graced WCW rings in the 1980s and 90s.
