Val Venis might not have been a fan but this week was a momentous week in the history of professional wrestling as Nyla Rose became the first ever transgender champion. Progress matters. Representation matters. Whinging man babies do not.

The same week, the company revealed that all 6000 Double Or Nothing 2020 tickets sold out in just a day and while we've also seen hints that AEW talent is being pulled out of WrestleCon, there's a lot to be positive about.

That also includes the debut of Jeff Cobb, who will presumably be making himself known to more AEW fans as part of the Inner Circle. This is very good news, given his pedigree, even if he's not signing on full-time. As part of the response to his appearance, Dave Meltzer clarified that AEW will only be signing "big athletic guys" for the time being with Lance Archer expected to follow Brodie Lee in the door.
