NXT might finally have toppled AEW in the ratings on Wednesday, but that doesn't mean there's any cause for concern. The product didn't suddenly stop being good - it just couldn't compete with a takeover angle. Because of course it wouldn't.

The future is still rosey for AEW and Kenny Omega's revelations to Dave Meltzer and Jim Valley about the plans to make more signings and his involvement in the women's division (as well as hints that he will be a bigger focus in 2020) are great tonic to the ratings loss.

Elsewhere, we learned that Cody Rhodes now owns the trademark to Dusty Rhodes - and rightly so - and there was some serious speculation that his acquisition of the trademark for "The Match Beyond" suggested AEW would have an answer to War Games. Then there's the confirmation of Bash At The Beach's return and hints of a future Blood & Guts PPV as well. All nice marketable brand terms there.

And through it all, the stars took to social media to show off their holidays, pose upside down and reveal what life is like working for the Distinguished Competition.

This was the week in AEW Instagram...
