As we head into the first biggest week of AEW's existence and the kick-off of the Wednesday Night Wars, it should come as no surprise that one of the biggest stories around the company is about... *checks notes*... CM Punk. Oh. Again.

Because of the emergence of unlikely developments that could take Punk to Fox to work on WWE Backstage, there's been renewed talk of a bidding war between WWE and AEW with the latter's position of "never working with him" reaffirmed or contested depending on who you believe.

Elsewhere, both Dustin and Cody Rhodes have sent out messages to fans and the roster on social media ahead of Dynamite's debut, Tony Khan revealed the odd inspiration for the show's name and the company scored some more good publicity points for helping out SWE on their farewell show when WWE pulled the plug. Which is useful, because the reveal of their UK TV deal went down like a wet sock filled with porridge.
