Many people have looked at baby faced Byron Saxton as the new voice of Raw and thought "what the hell has this kid done to deserve that spot?" But he's actually 34 years old and has been under WWE contract for nine years. He first signed in 2007, coming into the company with a background in broadcast journalism. Added to that, he had significant wrestling experience under the WWE umbrella from 2007 onwards. He even had some creative responsibilities, having had experience in production during his journalism career. So he is actually fairly cut out for his current spot. But he has definitely been a strange case, with the company unsure whether he was a wrestler or broadcaster. In FCW from 2007, then ECW and NXT from 2009 to 2011 he was primarily a wrestler, but from 2012 onwards he has done commentary on NXT, Raw and Smackdown.
