16 Things We Learned From William Regal On Talk Is Jericho
The legendary Englishman talks his career in one of the best TiJ episodes ever.
In the eyes of causal fans, William Regal is a comedic figure responsible for some great laughs during his time as Raw general manager and through his fondly remembered partnership with Tajiri. For those more familiar with his work, hes recognized as being an extremely proficient technical wrestler, trained in the old school British style of chain wrestling and one of the businesses legitimate tough guys. For many years, his match with Chris Benoit at the Brian Pillman Memorial show was used as required viewing for developmental trainees, and hes still passing on his wisdom to this day in his role as one of the mentors and onscreen GM of NXT. But the man born Darren Matthews had his dance with personal demons and will be the first to tell you how fortunate he is that he made it out the other side relatively unscathed. He touches on this a great deal in his autobiography Walking A Golden Mile and has never been one to shy away from admitting his faults and using his experiences to hopefully keep someone else from straying down the same tumultuous path. The English legend sat down with his good friend Chris Jericho for an enthralling interview where he not only exhibited his advanced knowledge of the business of wrestling, but his sharp sense of humor as well as told a few off the wall tales about some wild times when he was off the rails. Heres what we learned from William Regal on Talk Is Jericho.
