AJ says he was suffering from a bit of depression after WCW went under because he really felt like he had an opportunity with WWE. Unfortunately that turned out not to be the case.

Stone Cold asks for the rundown on that situation and if the company just didn't see anything in him at the time and he replies "apparently not." He says John Laurinaitis was the one who signed him in WCW and also the man who told him that WWE wouldn't be picking up his contract after they bought their competitor.

Styles says that he wasn't ready and didn't need to be there, admitting that if WWE had picked up his contract because he would have fizzled out.

Instead, he went down to the NWA anniversary show where he met Christopher Daniels. The two had an amazing match despite never having spoken before, and he calls Daniels the reason why he started getting booked all over the world.
