Scuttlebutt (like gossip with a desk job) says that post-WWE, Bennett may well be headed towards a less active job in sports/entertainment - as a football analyst. That's soccer, for those of you of an American persuasion. It's not hugely surprising: he's got the gift of the gab, he's a quality storyteller (as anyone who's ever seen him interviewed can attest) and he knows football inside out. Well, he's a northern lad. They're raised on mashed potato and football, and Bennetts been a Preston North End supporter since he was a twinkle in the milkmans eye. He's also done similar work before, when he worked as FCW's colour commentator. That was during the period in 2009 when he was on the shelf after injuring his latissimus dorsi muscle in his back and required surgery - reports at the time said that he tore the muscle right off the bone. He was out for eight months, during which time he sat in on commentary every week. Bennett doesnt have the visa problems that have plagued him in the past anymore: he finally got his green card in November 2014, meaning that he can now live and work in the US unconditionally (ie, without ongoing, full time employment with the WWE specifically). That means that he could, technically, utilise his considerable public speaking experience to his advantage in working for any sports broadcaster in the US or the UK.
