6. The New Age Outlaws

Billy Gunn and The Road Dogg bullied their way from the outhouse to the penthouse thanks to chaotic acts of rebellion on the flagship show in late-1997 and early-1998.

The pair completely reframed the doubles division at the time, liberating the titles from an ageing Legion Of Doom act before moving into a feud with Cactus Jack and Terry 'Chainsaw Charlie' Funk infamously underscored by the Outlaws pushing the hardcore icons off of the Monday Night Raw stage.

Road Dogg now assumes creative control on SmackDown Live!, but Billy Gunn will make his first appearance for WWE since his 2015 steroid-related firing.
