Last Match: vs. Mandy Rose (5 October 2021 NXT 2.0)

Ember Moon seemed like a dead cert to take WWE's main roster by storm when they promoted her from NXT in 2018. Creative missteps (she played Nintendo Switch; that was the extent of her character development) ruined everything, but Moon found solace back "home" on NXT.

Her tag-team with Shotzi Blackheart, which earned a pair a run as the second NXT Women's Tag Champs, proved popular. Shotzi has since moved on to try her own luck on SmackDown, so most assumed that Ember would plod on as a vital part of the new look NXT 2.0 women's division.

Nope, she's been released. AEW surely beckons.
