Injuries forced All Elite Wrestling stars Eddie Kingston and Malakai Black to miss the Big Event convention in New York City yesterday (Sunday 14 November).

PWInsider's Mike Johnson notes that the organisers confirmed neither man would be appearing as a result of their injuries, with both having competed at AEW Full Gear 2021 the night before.

Northwest Wrestling, who were due to host Kingston, posted the following update:-

Eddie Kingston contacted us late last night. Due to an injury to his shoulder in his match with CM Punk last night at the AEW PPV, he will be unable to appear at Big Event NY Convention today. He is having his shoulder checked out and having a series of medical tests this morning.

Johnson, however, has been informed that Eddie's injuries aren't related to the Punk match, but are due to an accumulation of various different issues over time.

There is currently no word on whether or not Kingston or Black will be forced to miss AEW television time as a result of their issues.

Both wrestlers were defeated at Full Gear, with Kingston falling to Punk. Black, meanwhile, teamed with Andrade El Idolo in a tag loss to Cody Rhodes and PAC.
