2 Big WWE Stars Injured At WrestleMania Backlash?

A couple of former World Champions may have picked up injuries at WWE's latest pay-per-view.

The Miz Braun Strowman

The Miz picked up a knee injury while competing at WrestleMania Backlash on Sunday, reports Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online Daily Update.

The report offers no further details beyond that. There's currently no word on the severity of Miz's injury or when he might return.

A horde of zombies simulated eating Miz alive following his Backlash loss to Damian Priest, who felled the former WWE Champion in their lumberjack match. The A-Lister missed last night's Raw, with his tag partner John Morrison dedicating his own bout with Priest to Miz's memory, before doing the job for the rising star himself.

Braun Strowman may also have been hurt at the pay-per-view, though his status is more ambiguous. MVP noted during last night's Raw that the big man had suffered broken ribs following his all-action Backlash clash with Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre.

Though this could be kayfabe, Strowman wasn't present on Raw and was favouring his ribs at WrestleMania Backlash.

Strowman's name came up elsewhere in MVP and Lashley's show-opening Raw promo, during which a WWE Title open challenge for anyone but Braun and Drew was issued.
