2 New Champions Crowned At AEW Double Or Nothing 2020

Gold and glory in Jacksonville.

Two championships found new owners at AEW Double Or Nothing 2020.

Cody claimed the new (and unfinished) TNT Championship in a violent battle with Lance Archer, pinning 'The Murderhawk Monster' after unloading multiple Cross Rhodes and every other big bomb in his arsenal, having taken one hell of a beating himself throughout. A cluttered closing stretch saw Jake 'The Snake' Roberts and Arn Anderson both get ejected from ringside before Mike Tyson got up from his perch and caught Lance's eye, leading into the finish.

'Iron Mike' presented with a strap that still needs work. Per Tony Schiavone, the ongoing global health crisis prevented gold plating from being added, hence the look.

Later, Hikaru Shida took the AEW Women's Championship from Nyla Rose, felling 'The Native Beast' in a plunder brawl. The duo made the most of the No DQ stipulation with kendo sticks, giant poker chips, and more, crafting a bout that sits amongst the better women's matches in AEW history. Here's hoping this helps propel a division that still lacks momentum.

The night's other title fight saw AEW World Champion Jon Moxley retain over Brodie Lee in the first of two main events.
