The 20 Best WWE Pro Wrestlers Of 2014

16. Triple H

Last year placed 19 Triple H had what was arguably the best one-on-one match of 2014 with Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30. On top of this, he put in first rate efforts (with Evolution) against The Shield at Extreme Rules and Payback. Granted, that's only three matches, but those three contests were amongst the best matches in WWE all year. That means Hunter has more than earned his spot in this list, although the cynics will point out that it is easy to have a great match against the likes of Bryan, Rollins and Ambrose. Credit to Hunter, though. His mic work and character peformances helped to make a star of Daniel Bryan, and the eventual match was one of the most intense affairs of the year. Triple H and Bryan lit up Mania with a hard hitting and technical contest which built drama upon drama in an athletic firestorm. It's a shame that Triple H is a part timer. He's still got it in the ring and has one of the best minds in the business for building matches. Throw in his promos and he's arguably the best all rounder in the roster, but at 45 he understandably wants to be working less and less in the ring. A match with Sting at WrestleMania 31 is the only match he's scheduled for in 2015. Highlight of the year: Contest with Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30.
