Davey Boy Smith, the British Bulldog, is the most memorable British superstar in the history of sports entertainment. Like William Regal, he was never a WWE Champion, but made a real mark on the sport. His impact is still felt so strongly that, during the WWE's recent tour of the UK, Mark Henry was performing running powerslams as a tribute to the Bulldog's finishing move. Smith was known mostly for his quite unbelievable strength, similar to today's "Swiss Superman" Cesaro. One of his most famous feats was delivering an enormous hanging vertical suplex to a new WCW star called Giant, later renamed the Big Show by WWE. In common with many of the people on this list, Davey Boy Smith never reached the summit of the WWE, but his legacy as a wrestling legend is assured.
