20 Greatest Wrestling Documentaries Ever

11. Breaking The Code: Behind The Walls Of Chris Jericho (2010)

The first truly WWE-style piece featured on this list, Breaking The Code was also one of the first to see the company allow the wrestler to take charge. Chris Jericho had been wrestling for around twenty years by the time this documentary was released onto DVD, so he had a lot to say about a career spanning WWE, WCW, ECW and beyond.

Crucially, the film focuses more on his actual in-ring career, more so than his fledgling musical pursuits with rock band Fozzy. The band do get a mention, but that side of Jericho's life doesn't eat up too much time. That's a positive, because pro wrestling should be the top subject here, obviously.

As anyone who has listened to episodes of his popular podcast will attest, Jericho is an entertaining host. He helps drive forward each story with his natural and engaging personality - there's no doubt Y2J has ever been lacking in charisma. He comes across as likeable, a Canadian geek who used determination and talent to reach his goals.

WWE's slick production is another plus point as it really helps Jericho's story sing.
