A mesh of styles between two polar opposites that rarely faced one another, The Undertaker and Rey Mysterio gave fans a real treat in what initially could have been considered a throwaway pay-per-view squash.

Using his size to dominate early, 'Taker hurled Mysterio out of the ring, but Rey-Rey kept at 'The Deadman' with quick punches and dropkicks, until he was waffled to the arena floor with a staggering Undertaker right hook off a springboard attempt.

Never able to seize total control, 'The Deadman' attempted to slow down the pace with his considered and measured offence, but Mysterio spectacularly countered out of a chokeslam with a hurricanrana, before Undertaker countered him with a Tombstone attempt from a 619.

After waves of reversals, Undertaker's frustration began to show as he forcefully threw Mysterio into the ringside security wall to finally sustain an advantage, but the gamey San Diego native refused to give in, eventually escaping a Last Ride attempt and nailing two 619s as fans could sense the upset.

It wasn't to be for Rey on this night though, as his West Coast Pop attempt was caught by The Undertaker for a conclusive Last Ride after eleven breathless minutes.
