Airlifted into the angle to make good on a year-long payoff after Rikishi's heel turn almost tanked it, Triple H instead reframed the Samoan as his accomplice as he laid out exactly how he masterminded the "attempted vehicular homicide" of Stone Cold Steve Austin at Survivor Series 1999.

Using the safety of a television studio during the 2000 edition of the pay-per-view's go-home edition of SmackDown a year later, 'The Game' gloriously revelled in the detailed plotting it took to get to this point - a grim irony the panic button WWE pressed in placing him in it at all.
