20 Most Underappreciated WWE Stars Of The 21st Century

12. Naomi

Being a woman in WWE means that you're already coming from a position of being unappreciated. Most female superstars don't last as long as their male counterparts, and while men are often judged harshly based on their appearances, it's many times worse for women.

One of the women who has been given the short shrift the most times is Naomi. While she quickly established herself as the most talented cast member on the third season of NXT, it was years before she'd make it to the main roster, and even then, she was a valet. When she was finally booked in matches, she didn't disappoint, but success still came slowly.

To this day, Naomi is one of the few active female competitors who has yet to capture gold, though she's had many shots at the company's various women's championships. It seems like WWE prefers to use her as a placeholder feud rather than actually try to get her over, and she looks to be in that very position right now as Alexa Bliss's Elimination Chamber opponent. Hopefully a real push comes her way before long.
