20 Things You Probably Missed From WWE SmackDown (4 Oct)

WWE's debut on FOX was almost a flawless production from start to finish...

Cain Velasquez Rey Mysterio

If someone had posted on 2010 Twitter that knock-out artist Cain Velasquez would debut on WWE SmackDown in 2019, someone might've giggled. That would've turned to full-blown laughter had that person then added that the ex-UFC hard man would stroll out after Brock Lesnar had beaten WWE Champ Kofi Kingston in nine seconds.

That's exactly what happened at the end of SmackDown's first show on FOX.

Velasquez, who toppled Lesnar at UFC 121, couldn't have flown under anyone's radar. He'll be all over the headlines after that Friday night surprise. The good news is that the following 20 items on this list may have slipped your net, and they're all here to enjoy. There's a little bit of everything in there, including observations on the show's new intro, a questionable ending, Kofi almost legitimately getting pasted and personal pride from WWE's finest.

It turns out that even Hollywood's biggest names still crave that pro wrestling spotlight, and it seems FOX top brass are a bit confused about just what the hell they're getting themselves into. Prepare to laugh, think and look beyond SmackDown's flashy exterior...
