This week marked a significant turning point for TNA's World Title Series, as it brought the preliminary group stages to an end and set up the more traditional tournament primed to kick off next week. 20. TNA's India Tour Is "Postponed" Hours Before Impact
Mere hours before this week's Impact was due to air, news began to spread online that TNA had "postponed" their December tour of India until next year due to "logistical reasons", which officially meant safety concerns, but some fans naturally believed it to be due to underwhelming ticket sales. Given how much PR the tour had been given in recent weeks and how popular TNA is in India, this is obviously a huge blow regardless of the reason, and talent were reportedly only told at the end of last week, causing them to scramble to secure independent bookings for the time put aside for India. This week's Impact unsurprisingly made no mention of the tour, and the morning after it aired, TNA released an official statement confirming all those rumours. How embarrassing. As for how it will affect the World Title Series, which was supposed to have its semi-finals there, who knows?
