Fortunately (or unfortunately) the main event boasted no particular 'WTF' moments. Instead, the eight men involved put on a pretty damn good match, a fitting close to the go-home show before SummerSlam. One slightly unusual aspect, however, was the ending of the match. A clean babyface victory ended with all four good guys standing tall (except for Dean Ambrose, who was sort of squatting), an unusually satisfying end to the last show before a huge pay per View. Usually the go-home episode is used to sow the seeds of further conflict, rather than taking steps to resolve matters. Perhaps this could signify a handful of big heel wins come Sunday, although obviously nothing is certain.
