3 Ups & 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept. 6)

8. More Reggie! More Flipping!

Look, it’s one thing to admire Reggie’s ability to flip and contort his body as he jumps and twists around a wrestling ring – or a park – but that doesn’t mean we want to watch him wrestle matches.

But the former sommelier is now well into his reign as 24/7 Champion, and we were treated to an in-ring title “defense” in which Reggie flipped away from Akira Tozawa’s offense, hit a dropkick, flipping scissors kick, and a somersault senton to put the former Cruiserweight Champion away in seconds.

And no one reacted.

Vince McMahon probably (rightly) is impressed by Reggie’s acrobatics, but no one has figured out how to monetize or capitalize on his abilities, so we’re stuck with segments like that, where he flips around for 30 seconds and then disappears. It’s utterly pointless, but they can’t figure anything better to do.
