3 Ups & 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept. 6)

6. Morrison’s Magical Babyface Ride Continues

It’s hard to remember when John Morrison was a free agent a couple of years ago, and some were speculating that he could easily be a world title contender if he went back to WWE because he had improved his promo game and his in-ring stuff was a sharp as ever.

Fast-forward to the newly turned babyface Morrison was getting his head kicked in by Karrion Kross and retaliated… by spraying him with a drip stick. That was his only offense in the match, as Kross obliterated him in a couple of minutes, laying him out with the Kross-jacket submission.

Keep in mind that JoMo is supposed to be in a program with Miz since their recent split. In a normal wrestling company, he would be kept strong during this time so the program would be preserved. But Morrison has now lost two weeks in a row for no good reason other than poor booking.

Every time you see booking like this, it makes Adam Cole jumping to AEW more and more sensible.
