3 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Oct 6 - Results & Review)

1. Solid Promo

It's a wee bit crap that AEW hasn't uploaded Ortiz' promo on old partner Mike Santana to the promotion's official YouTube channel. That speech was one of the best highlights from this week's show, and definitely ranks as the most memorable time this ex-Chris Jericho recruit has opened his mouth on company programming.

Ortiz nailed it.

He spoke passionately about Santana breezing past him on TV previously, and then discussed their friendship with a succinct history lesson that smashed through the biggest bullet points. Ortiz said Mike puts on a tough guy persona as "a defence mechanism", and added that Santana runs from the truth.

The 'go home' line was killer too. Staring right down the camera lens, this former Inner Circle man said: "Karma took your one knee. I'm gonna take your other one". Hopefully, the eventual match between these old buddies lives up to the hype, because some of the build has been excellent.
