3 Ups & 4 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Nov 1)
A subpar episode, but finally something good about The Desi Hit Squad.
Impact Wrestling have been on an impressive roll this year, but that doesn't necessarily mean each weekly episode will be great.
That was the case for this week's edition, an episode that had some good wrestling mixed in with some questionable booking decisions. It's a shame, considering the previous two episodes since Bound For Glory were truly remarkable.
This was a go-home episode of sorts, as next week's is a special called Final Hour. Coming in to this week, there was nothing properly scheduled for that night, leaving the 1 November instalment with announcement after announcement. It meant that we didn't really get to take in what was being shown here, instead being left to admire it for a second before being bombarded with matches for the following episode.
On the plus side, there were some decent bouts this week. Tessa Blanchard and Taya Valkyrie had a good Knockouts Championship match that went downhill due to a booking decision, good friends Rich Swann and Willie Mack had an excellent opening contest, and Homicide proved he can still hang as a top name. In addition, there's finally something good to note about The Desi Hit Squad. Miracles do exist.
Unfortunately, that doesn't take away from the bad sections of the night. Let's get to it...
