Ups...

3. The Revival Acknowledging Gimmicks

If you're going to book seriously good tag-teams in seriously silly situations, at least have them acknowledge that on screen. Thank those lucky stars, because The Revival did. After losing to Heavy Machinery in that 'Miracle On 34th Street Fight' extravaganza, Dash and Dawson summed it up with one line.

"What happened to good, old-fashioned tag-team wrestling?".

Quite, Mr. Dawson. Quite. This is hopefully the start of something special for The Revival. As much as they're adaptive and can keep themselves over even when losing to two guys dressed as Santa Claus, Dash and Dawson deserve better. They really should be lambasting WWE's "sports entertainment" silliness and paving the way for proper tag wrestling.

It wouldn't take much for SmackDown's writers to get this message across to fans. They only need to have The Revival spout it week after week and have Michael Cole announce that they've pulled out of another scheduled gimmick bout.
