3 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Nov 4)

(SPOILERS) The NXT Championship match ends in controversy...

Well, no one really expected Apollo Crews to walk out with the championship, did they? Finn didn't even put on the body-paint; it wasn't going to happen. What fans probably weren't expecting, however, was a heel turn from The Samoan Submission Machine. Well, unless you read the spoiler reports that were circulating the internet (including WhatCulture ... sorry about that), or unless you saw the fairly obvious foreshadowing in the last few weeks of backstage interviews. Still, for some it came as a surprise and, with Finn putting on an excellent main event with Crews last night (until the run-ins began), Balor vs Bad Joe promises to be quite the heated rivalry heading into NXT TakeOver London. The main event aside, last night's NXT wasn't exactly much to write home about. Asuka impressed, but otherwise, at a mere 50 minutes, the show felt a little light. Full card (w/finishes): Asuka vs Cameron Cameron submits to the Asuka Lock. Bull Dempsey vs Angelo Dawkins Bull hits Dawkins with a Diving Seated Senton for the pin. Eva Marie vs Local Competitor (Marley) Eva hits Marley with something that looked like a cross between a Shining Wizard and a Reverse STO for the pinfall win. Apollo Crews vs Finn Balor - NXT Championship Match Crews wins by DQ (not acknowledged by commentators) after interference from Baron Corbin.
