30 Best Performers In WrestleMania History
1. The Undertaker (23-1)
Of course, Shawn Michaels’ title only works for a #2 ranking if the #1 spot is taken by a Deadman. And really, was there any other choice for the greatest performer in WrestleMania history?
The Undertaker has beaten everybody (save for Brock Lesnar) at WrestleMania: a hat trick with Triple H (X-Seven, XXVII, XXVIII), Shawn Michaels (XXV, XXVI), Kane (XIV, XX), Ric Flair (X-8), Randy Orton (XXI), Batista (XXIII), Diesel (XII), Jake “The Snake” Roberts (VIII), Edge (XXIV) and CM Punk (XXIX).
Undertaker won 21 straight WrestleMania matches, an unprecedented streak that became a major selling point for the PPV itself and became central to the Undertaker’s character. In essence, the Undertaker became woven into the fabric of WrestleMania, and vice-versa.
Not only did Taker’s matches become top draws, he changed his in-ring style in the latter years of his career, which helped produce numerous classics with the likes of Triple H, HBK, Punk and Batista. There is no denying that the Undertaker will go down in history as the greatest performer in WrestleMania history. If a list is done 30 years from now, he still will be at the top of that list as well.
