33 WTF Moments From TNA Slammiversary

22. The PPV Is Basically A Commercial For Impact

One of the most frustrating aspects of Slammiversary is that it basically just felt like an advertisement for Wednesday's already-taped Impact show. This was no more evident than in the Austin Aries/Davey Richards match, which rather than end the best-of-five series on a PPV, simply set-up the stipulation (a 30-minute Iron Man Tag Match) for this Wednesday. Aren't the shows supposed to set up the PPV, and not the other way around? It's been said that, at this point, the weekly shows are of greater importance to management than the PPVs, which probably explains why TNA isn't long for this world anymore. To make flagship shows matter this little is as much a sign as anything that things aren't working right.
