The Miz has proven in recent times that he's no coward, but at Backlash he proved that he's an easy pushover.

Just before his Intercontinental Championship defence against Dolph Ziggler, Miz and General Manger Daniel Bryan had a bit of an altercation. Miz said that he needed a pay rise to match his standing in the company. SmackDown Live needs its Intercontinental Champion and The Awesome One simply had to renegotiate his current deal.

Daniel Bryan stood there and said nothing. Suddenly it looked like Miz wouldn't be moving until Bryan made certain assurances. Still, Bryan didn't move as an awkward period of silence began.

Then, all of a sudden Miz's music hit and he said that negotiations would be getting a hell of a lot tougher after he had retained his IC title... I mean, could they gotten any easier for D-Bry? He just stood there with a piercing look on his face and he got his way. Miz is an awful negotiator.

Then, despite the internet telling me the rivalry between the pair was dead in the water, Miz said that he'd be going out to do something Daniel couldn't anymore... there's going to be a match between the pair, isn't there? Of course there isn't, but this shows the fledgling feud isn't dead in the water and a physical altercation isn't too far away.

A very strange segment that was blatantly used to fill in a few more precious minutes.
