Following on from Daniel Bryan entering the men’s Royal Rumble match this past Friday, last night’s Raw saw three other names confirm their intentions for next month's Royal Rumble PPV.

As the first names confirmed for the women’s Rumble match, former Women's Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax announced that they’ll both be a part of the over-the-top extravaganza come January 31.

Elsewhere, a pre-match promo saw current United States Champion Bobby Lashley declare his intentions to enter the men’s Royal Rumble match and then head to WrestleMania 37 to challenge for either the WWE Championship or the WWE Universal Championship.

At this stage, only the aforementioned four names have been announced for Royal Rumble action next month, although there is still over a month left for the Rumble matches themselves to be fully fleshed out.

For many, the Royal Rumble PPV is the highlight of the WWE calendar. Forget all about the pomp and circumstance of WrestleMania or the sizzle and sparkle of SummerSlam, the sheer possibilities and potential surprises that the Rumble so often throws up – not to mention the many stunning non-Rumble match bouts seen on the PPV over the years – makes the January event a must-see show.
