4 Ups & 1 Down From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Dec 13th)

Episodes of Impact Wrestling like the one shown this week are prime examples of how far the company have come so far this year. Ever since the new management team took over, Impact have been rising back up the rankings of professional wrestling promotions.

With Homecoming now just a few weeks away, the card has slowly been taking shape with five matches now signed for the night. One of those is the Ultimate X Match with the vacant X Division Championship hanging above the ring, and qualifiers for that contest continued on this week's episode. Judging by the four men who've made it, it's set to be quite the bout.

In addition, the Knockouts Championship match received a jaw-dropping announcement that is sure to make the tie between Tessa Blanchard and Taya Valkyrie even better than it was set to be. A former champion will serve as the special guest referee for the bout, adding a new dynamic to the rivalry that has the potential to change the way the entire match will flow.

Even though we're approaching the end of 2018, it's done nothing to keep Impact quiet. Their momentum is continuing to rise at a steady rate, while the matches have typically been nothing short of excellent. Keep this going into the new year.
