Triple H and his creative team aren't hanging around during SummerSlam weekend.

WWE booked a major title change on Friday's go home episode of SmackDown, and they even gave it the main event treatment. It is, however, telling that Solo Sikoa ended the night holding tag gold, not Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga. That had to be deliberate. It's all part of the plan to present Solo as a power-mad wannabe 'Tribal Chief' before the grand return of one Roman Reigns.

Sikoa vs. Cody Rhodes received a stirring stipulation to open the show, but SmackDown's undercard isn't sitting still either. A new all-female faction appeared to form elsewhere on the weekly, and LA Knight's rise at the expense of controversial United States Champ Logan Paul is something to behold.

Of course, it's what happens on Saturday's PLE that matters to Knight's fans. They desperately want to see their hero grab WWE main roster gold. What a pop he'll get when he eventually does. There's no chance that reaction matches the monster pop for Roman though - that's a given.

Here's all the good and bad from Smackers.
