Heel British Bulldog was the only wrestler resembling a babyface in defence of his Tag Team Titles alongside Owen Hart against the disappointing Mankind/Vader pairing, but the contest allegedly only went off a cliff because of the vast changes emerging from the Submission match later in the show.
A split had been expertly teased between the Champions ahead of the event, with the 'Two-Time Slammy Award Winner' in glorious form as an irritating piece of sh*t holding Davey Boy back from all the promise he'd shown in their European Title epic just weeks earlier.
Some post-show reports suggested that the the Challengers were to strike gold here to coincide with the Harts' severance until the entire thing was binned to build to the Hart Foundation reunion. A cheap double countout finish was oddly fitting - fans hadn't even invested by the time the contest concluded.
