Something had to follow Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin's instant classic (and much more on that later), and WWE lucked into the exact right thing with The Nation Of Domination's chaotic rivalry with Ahmed Johnson and The Legion Of Doom.

A bonkers brawl saw the six introduce ECW's all-over-the-shop style to the WWE midcard, further foreshadowing the Attitude Era's hardcore norms that'd later follow.

Hard to call such a brutal battle a palette cleanser, but the success of this six-man spoke to the serendipity on show. WrestleMania 13 was far from the perfect card, but the Chicago Street Fight was the perfect follow-up to the perfect match.
