4 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (5 January - Results & Review)

4. All That For A Distraction Finish

WWE Raw Liv Morgan
WWE

Liv Morgan is one of WWE’s biggest stars right now, male or female.

So why would you bring her back in her first match and have her win a nothing match with a distraction finish?

Morgan wrestled Lyra Valkyria (who has once again cooled off considerably as she’s become Bayley’s sidekick/anger whisperer in a tag team that isn’t in the title picture) on Monday night. The match itself had a couple of nice moments (after all, it is Valkyria and Morgan wrestling), but after seven minutes of back-and-forth action, Roxanne Perez and Bayley got into it at ringside, with the Role Model chasing Perez off with a chair.

This somehow distracted Lyra enough that she couldn’t see Liv running right at her to hit an Oblivion for the win. The end.

C’mon, gang, this is barely midcard fodder here.
