No Mercy represented a very successful evening for the Smackdown brand. Despite the fact that there was a lot of filler on the show - as well as some nonsense and a weird match order - the two top bouts on the card delivered. AJ Styles retained the WWE World Championship over John Cena and Dean Ambrose in a wild triple threat match, while Dolph Ziggler won the Intercontinental Title from The Miz, saving his career in the process.

The fallout hit on Smackdown, and made for a pretty decent show. While there weren't any great matches like the blue brand boasts some weeks, things were solid top to bottom. Currently, there's no immediate impetus to build up for a Pay-Per-View - the next show featuring Smackdown stars, Survivor Series, is nearly six weeks away - and as such, the program felt like it had a bit of time to breathe.

Still, feuds are continuing. Miz and Dolph are gearing up for a rematch, while Styles and Ambrose are at each other's throats. With a lot of time left for these programs to either enthrall or disappoint, how did the road to Survivor Series kick off?

Here are 4 ups and 2 downs from October 11's Smackdown:
