Last week on Smackdown, American Alpha thought they'd won tag team turmoil and the opportunity to challenge Rhyno and Heath Slater for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles at TLC. After the match, though, Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton revealed that AA would have to go through them to get the shot, leading to this week's main event.

It was nice to see American Alpha in a high-profile position on the show after being underutilized for so long, but ultimately, they were defeated by Wyatt and Orton. Still, the match was an exciting contest, with American Alpha especially delivering after the hot tag and down the home stretch.

The finish left a little something to be desired, as Jordan had the upper hand before Luke Harper made the distraction. Fortunately, that didn't play directly into the ending, but the match still didn't really need any interference.
