3. Sad Birthday For Blue Pants

Oh, Blue Pants... For fans who don't know, Blue Pants, aka Leva Bates, is a wrestler who wear blue pants and has the most adorable theme tune in the world, which consists of a man singing the Price is Right theme to no background music. It's cute, just have faith. She lives in Orlando and has become NXT's local enhancement talent for female wrestlers, and the fans have taken to her in a BIG way. When her music hit for her match with Emma last night, the fans exploded and chanted "Blue Pants" with full-throat. It's the sort of simple, silly, earnest gimmick (she wears Blue Pants and is sweet) that NXT fans really take to and love to make their own, and the day that this episode was taped (May 21st) just happened to be Blue Pants' birthday. It did not go well. This shouldn't be any shock to longterm fans of the WWE. There's nothing that the company love more than ruining people's homecomings or birthdays, relishing the heat that heels can draw by humiliating someone during a special day. This was no different. Emma dominated Blue Pants, shouting 'Happy Birthday' at her, before making her tap. Poor Blue Pants...
