4 Ups And 4 Downs From NXT In Your House 2022
1. Creeds Finally Deliver
The babyfacing of the Creed Brothers has been interesting to watch in recent weeks, as the duo has gone from bruisers who look like they’re just injuring opponents left and right, to being virtuous wrestlers who want to win “the right way.”
After being shortchanged on their title matches in the past, Julius & Brutus overcame Pretty Deadly Saturday to capture the NXT Tag Team Championship. As part of that, they also won the right to remain part of Diamond Mine. Interestingly, no one from Diamond Mine came out to support or celebrate with them afterward, though that could have been by design since the Creed’s parents were there to congratulate them.
The match itself was pretty good, with Pretty Deadly playing their roles as bothersome heel champs pretty well. Julius broke out a Shooting Star Press before delivering the knockout blow, showing that these former amateur wrestling standouts are adding some flashy offense to their arsenal.
This was a genuinely great moment and actually tied off a decent story arc for the brothers. Kudos all around.
