It doesn't all happen in the ring...
2018 has been a crazy year for WWE.
Starting off with the 25th anniversary episode of Monday Night RAW which disappointed most fans, it was quickly followed by the Royal Rumble pay-per-view which totally exceeded expectations. Shinsuke Nakamura was one of the most well received Rumble winners in years, and the inaugural women's Royal Rumble match was highly entertaining, featured some great surprise appearances, and culminated in a thrilling win for Asuka.
WrestleMania 34 followed, in which Daniel Bryan made a triumphant comeback, a kid from the crowd won the tag titles, and Ronda Rousey completely stole the show.
It wasn't all good news for the company though, WWE's trips to Saudi Arabia for their Greatest Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and in particular their Crown Jewel show caused as much controversy as it did cash.
We had Money in the Bank, and the crowning of Roman Reigns & Ronda Rousey as champions at SummerSlam.
SmackDown 1000 showed RAW how their celebration show should have looked, and the first ever all-women's WWE pay-per-view Evolution was a joy to behold.
